Resolved Question: Where should a 23 year old live in Cambridge, MA?

I am moving to Cambridge in the fall to go to school, I was wondering what parts are more young adult friendly and safe!? I was thinking about Harvard Square, is that too loud or full of youngsters, or Porter Square seems like the safest place, but I dont know how the night life is there. I heard their T stop stairs re the worst to climb up, so thats a negative in my book. I will not live in Kendall, Central or Alewife. Please any suggestions, tips, anything would be great thanks!...
